Risks and impacts
analysis
RDI has developed a risks
analysis methodology. The results paint a picture of the
required physical protection and related assets against
the identified potential threats.
Moreover, RDIs methodology
allows the client to highlight the tangible and
intangible losses likely to happen following an
interruption of the information systems and critical
business functions.

The disaster recovery
plan
Disaster
definition
For RDI, a disaster occurs whenever
your organizations operations are inaccessible.
The fact that the main work site is
inaccessible for a certain period of time, becomes a
disaster situation, whether it is the computer systems
and/or the organizations offices that are affected.
Business
resumption
In order to resume operations during a
disruption, the organization must ensure it has the
proper strategies and pre-approved decisions for an
efficient continuity of its vital business operations.
The disaster
recovery plan
The disaster recovery plan elaboration
methodology used by RDI takes into account the recovery
objectives of the client, and the recovery means already
in place and/or foreseen.
During the recovery plan elaboration
process of:
- an information systems center, or;
- a corporate plan, or;
- a municipal garage installation
- etc.
the recovery objective is always
confronted to the requirements which must be met.
RDIs methodology forces the
client to check whether all the measures in place in the
normal course of operations are indeed in place.
The final result shows the various
recovery tasks to be performed, including the personnel
specifically responsible to carry them out, and the
required material, procedures and other resources.

Recovery plan audit
RDI offers its clientèle a
cyclical audit of their DRP, including associated human
and material resources, and needed procedures.
Whenever a client performs a recovery
simulation test, one of RDIs consultants
participates as an objective observer, and the findings
are included in the audit report.
The DRP Audit Report includes an
opinion expressing the ability of the client to meet its
stated recovery objectives.

Recovery plan
maintenance
RDI performs cyclical DRP
maintenance on the basis of requests from the clientèle.
Any modifications to the resources and
other changes are validated in terms of impact against
the DRP, and updates carried-out.
Moreover, RDI offers its
clientèle the complete maintenance of its recovery
plans. The DRPs are installed on RDIs
computers, and RDI sees to the regular
maintenance, updates and distribution of the disaster
recovery plans.
